Romance Writers of America is the professional association for published and aspiring romance writers. RWA provides networking and support to its 9,500 members in many ways including hosting an annual Conference and sponsoring the industry's premier awards for published and unpublished romance writers - The RITA and Golden Heart Awards.

The Challenge

The RWA website had grown to be unmanageable by RWA's small in-house staff. In addition, RWA needed a way to integrate their website with their new association management system in order to give their members tools to more easily interact with RWA.

The Solution

BrowserMedia worked closely with the RWA staff to revamp the existing RWA website with a more modern and professional look and feel. The redesigned website is powered by BrowserCMS, a Java/J2EE-powered web content management system. In addition, BrowserMedia collaborated with Avectra, RWA's association management software vendor, to integrate the website and content management system with Avectra's netFORUM product. The integrated solution provides users with a seamless single-sign-on experience with the netFORUM membership system, as well as access to other BrowserCMS modules, such as Podcasting, Blog, Events and Discussion Forum.
