Ric Edelman is widely acknowledged as one of the most entertaining and informative experts in personal finance. He has appeared on hundreds of radio stations, on every major television network, been featured in dozens of national newspapers and magazines, and has testified before Congress on savings and retirement issues. From his best-selling books to his nationally syndicated radio show and seminars, Ric has helped millions of Americans improve their personal finances.
The Challenge
As Ric Edelman prepared to roll out a nationally syndicated radio show, he needed a suite of websites to promote Edelman Financial Services, his financial advisory firm. In addition to websites to promote his book and financial services, Edelman needed a website to promote EMAP, the Edelman Managed Asset Program.
The Solution
BrowserMedia worked in concert with Edelman Financial staff to utilize multiple, cross-promoted websites that would more effectively deliver content to the identified audiences than the previous single website. The BrowserMedia solution included re-branding of Edelman Financial Services and creation of a logo for the Ric Edelman radio show. The www.RicEdelman.com website incorporates streaming video, podcasts, event registration and e-commerce to further promote Ric Edelman's recognition as an industry thought-leader. The www.EdelmanFinancial.com and www.emapAdvisor.com websites are resources for clients and independent financial advisors who are interested in the Edelman Financial Services asset management plans and investment strategies. The new websites include state-of-the-art web technologies including integrated video, RSS feeds, and secure e-commerce and are integrated with Edelman Financial Services corporate systems for client and advisor access to account information. All of the websites are powered by BrowserMedia's web content management (BrowserCMS).
The Results
The websites were unveiled to coincide with the launch of Ric Edelman's national radio show and have proven to be a key component in the success of the overall campaign. Ric has since been invited to regular contributor to CNBC's "The Millionaire Inside." Using the technology platform created by BrowserMedia, the Edelman communications and marketing staff can update content including radio show podcasts, upcoming seminar registrations, products, as well as add new sections and pages in real time, without technical knowledge or IT staff contributions. The success of the online initiatives has led to the creation of a dedicated web department at Edelman and ongoing interactive initiatives with BrowserMedia.
