BrowserMedia Launches Website for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington
BETHESDA, MD (March 1st, 2011) -- BrowserMedia announced today the launch of the redesigned website for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington (EDOW), viewable at http://www.edow.org.
BrowserMedia was responsible for the information architecture, visual design, and custom technology implementation for the new website. The redesigned site is powered by the open source BrowserCMS Ruby on Rails content management system. Some of the features of the new site include: a custom event management interface and calendar module, an online donations module, and a searchable database of churches that includes a geographic proximity search and integrated mapping.

The Diocese of Washington is made up of around 40,000 members in 88 parishes and Washington National Cathedral. It has one mission, St. Barnabas Church of the Deaf, three university chaplaincies, seven Latino congregations and a new Sierra Leonean Worshipping Community.
