Project Manager


BrowserMedia has an immediate opening for an experienced project manager who is passionate about seeing our clients succeed! We're looking for candidates who fit the following description:

  • At least 4 years experience at an agency, consultancy, or within the internet division of a corporation
  • Demonstrated ability to track activity in an organized manner, manage deliverables and communicate effectively with team members
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Direct interaction with clients
  • A solid understanding of the lifecycle of web development initiatives
  • Proven ability to successfully managing multiple concurrent projects from start to finish
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of project management principles, processes and software
  • Experienced writing functional specifications and project documentation required
  • Basic usability testing experience required
  • Experience working with Trade Associations and/or Non-Profit Organizations is a plus

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the daily development and tracking of integrated project plans.
  • Establishes and maintains project communications.
  • Oversees requirements gathering and is responsible for writing requirements specification docs.
  • Oversees project estimates. Oversees the development of project deliverables.
  • Establishes and maintains processes to manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identifies and manages project issues.
  • Sets project quality and performance standards.
  • Assesses and manages risk over the project lifecycle.
  • Maintains project tracking and information systems.
  • Leads teams of 2-6 individuals.
  • Builds and structures project teams to ensure maximum performance.
  • Provides purpose, direction and motivation to team.
  • Clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria.
  • Ensures key project-wide roles and responsibilities are defined.
  • Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment for the team.
  • Mentors and coaches project team members, as appropriate.
  • Manages third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary

Information Architect

BrowserMedia has an immediate opening for an Information Architect. We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of Information Architecture experience and excellent communications skills. Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing client needs and goals and developing a strategy to address them.
  • Mapping existing client content assets and assisting in defining additional requirements.
  • Developing user-centered site architecture with a commitment to intuitive taxonomy and nomenclature.
  • Producing sitemaps, wireframes, and/or task flows in support of the architecture.
  • Articulating rationale to colleagues and clients with clarity.
  • Working with designers and programmers to achieve strong visual and technological solutions without sacrificing usability.
  • Assisting content development teams in defining content needs.

Experience with the following is not a requirement, but is a definite plus:

  • Developing use-case scenarios.
  • Conducting heuristic evaluations and usability testing.
  • Performing competitive analysis.

We currently use Visio and/or InDesign in the implementation of our architecture documents but are willing to consider other applications that produce comparably effective results.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CSS2
