Web Marketing Association LogoBethesda, MD, September 14, 2005 -- BrowserMedia, a leading interactive web development and Internet software company, announced today that they have been honored with seven 2005 WebAwards in six different industry categories by the Web Marketing Association. The Associated General Contractors of America, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, BrowserCMS, the Embassy of France, Luxner News, and PeopleIQ were recognized for achieving a "Standard of Excellence." In addition, Headfirst Baseball took home the "Outstanding Website" award for its category. In total, BrowserMedia took home more awards this year than any other firm in the Mid-Atlantic region.

This year was the WebAward's most competitive year with more than 2,100 sites being judged by experts from around the world. Entries are judged on design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, navigation and ease of use. Judges include members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, content providers and webmasters.

"We're honored to once again have our work recognized by the Web Marketing Association," said Kerry Gunther, BrowserMedia's President and CEO. "We're especially excited that we have received awards across such diverse industries. We believe that the diversity of the awards exemplifies our commitment to approaching each project as a unique undertaking. Taking home this many awards is a true testament to the talent and hard work of our staff over the past year."

Now in its ninth year, the WebAward competition for Web site excellence is conducted by the Web Marketing Association, Inc. (WMA), an independent volunteer organization founded with the purpose of evaluating, recognizing and increasing the standard of excellence on the World Wide Web. The annual WebAwards competition judges Web sites against Internet standards and peer sites within their industry.
