
Patrick has successfully managed numerous enterprise-level development projects. An early proponent of rapid development methodologies such as Extreme Programming, which stresses strong customer interaction and iterative releases, Patrick is renowned for leading projects within budget using the latest technology tools and techniques. He has extensive experience with Java, J2EE, JSP, Swing, Struts, servlets, XML, EJB's and open source development tools including Ant and JUnit. Prior to joining BrowserMedia, Patrick was a Lead Software Developer at eNumerate Solutions and an Officer in the U.S. Army's 3rd Armored Cavalry regiment.Patrick holds a BS in Integrated Science and Technology with minors in Computer and Military Science from James Madison University and is a Sun Certified Java Programmer. Under Manning Publishing he authored "Hibernate Quickly," an introduction to Hibernate, the open source, Java database abstraction layer. Patrick has written technical articles for several publishers, including the ServerSide.com, and Manning Publishing has requested that he co-author a book on the Java Struts Framework. In addition, Patrick has taught as a Java Programming instructor for Virginia Tech.
