Design, Content Management System, AMS Integration
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) is a nonprofit scientific and educational society founded in 1904. For 100 years the AAG has contributed to the advancement of geography. Its members from more than 60 countries share interests in the theory, methods, and practice of geography, which they cultivate through the AAG's Annual Meeting, two scholarly journals (Annals of the Association of American Geographers and The Professional Geographer), and the monthly AAG Newsletter.
BrowserMedia worked closely with the AAG staff to redesign the existing AAG website with a more modern and professional look and feel. The redesign process included a comprehensive audit of hundreds of pages of existing content followed by recommendations of a revised information architecture to logically organize the content for both usability and ease of maintenance by AAG staff moving forward. The redesigned website is powered by the BrowserCMS web content management system(www.browsercms.com).
The redesigned website features an Events module, Banner Ad Management module, Fund-raising module, Slideshow module, Document Management module, and Advanced Search module. BrowserMedia also worked with AAG to integrate their iMIS association management system (AMS) to provides user with a seamless single-sign-on experience throughout the site.
In addition to the primary aag.org website, BrowserMedia worked with AAG to redesign three microsites, ensuring brand consistency across all of their web properties.
